On February 22, 2005, at the French Embassy at Palazzo Farnese, the Lazio Region and the Commission du Film d’Ile de France signed a Agreement for co-productions between the Lazio and Ile de France regions. The historic Italio-French collaboration in film-making first developed in the aftermath of the Second World War: 1,937 films were co-produced between 1945 and 1995. The list is long, ranging from films by Fellini and Antonioni (Red Desert and The Passenger) to Ferreri, Chabrol (who made 25 Italian/French films), Godard, Fritz Lang, Pasolini, Truffaut, and Louis Malle – all fine movies made with the two countries’ joint resources. The Agreement was signed by: Alex Voglino, Director for Culture, Sport, Show business, and Tourism, Lazio Region, In attendance were: Carlo Fuscagni, Chairman, Cinecittà Holding
