CRC (Capital Regions for Cinema), the Network of the European Capital Regions of Rome and Lazio, Paris-Ile de France, Comunidad de Madrid and Berlin-Brandenburg, was created to support and facilitate European film co-production and distribution, focusing on the idea that a Capital Region is a point of excellence for the development of culture and resources. CRC Capital Regions for Cinema, which was presented in 2005 at the 58th Cannes Festival in the presence of producers and personalities from European filmmaking, has since carried out its mission of promoting European cinema and developing co-productions. CRC has organised institutional meetings between the political representatives of the four Capital Regions to develop a common fund for European co-production.
