The focus of RLFC's participation in the European Film Market at the 60th edition of the 2010 Berlin Festival was co-production development activities.
The CRC Co-production Meetings - now permanent fixtures at the major festivals for producers from Italy, France, Spain and Germany - have seen a steady increase in participation and the fulfilment of co-production projects.
Returning for their 17th edition, the meetings were held at the Brandenburg Vertretung des Landes in Berlin, and involved over 140 production companies. New development opportunities for co-production outside Europe were brought to the table through the attendance of a delegation of Indian producers. Two new co-production projects also emerged:
- Antoine and Martine de Clermont Tonnerre's French production company MACT, and Alessandro Borrelli's Italian company La Sarraz will co-produce La Sapience, a comedy-drama by Eugenie Green with Bruno Todeschini.
- Mario Mazzarotto's company Movimento Film, and Bruno Bettati's Jirafa Films, found a Spanish co-producer in Luis Angel Ramirez Perez of Ulysses Film for the Italo-Chilean project "El Futuro".
